Madeleine has been painting icons for over twenty years and is currently working on a panel icon of The Mother of God Enthroned, from Panselinos’ mural in Mt Athos.

Talks, workshops and retreats 

Minster Abbey was the venue for Madeleine Stewart’s first series of week-end retreats.

Madeleine is available to give talks, retreats and full day sessions  to provide ‘An Introduction to the language and Symbolism of Iconography in the Byzantine Tradition.’ or, specifically on ‘The San Damiano Cross, An Icon of the Crucifixion.’
